Symposium of Early Career Research Investigators of Seville in Biomedicine & Biology (SECRIS) 2026

SECRIS (Seville Early Career Research Investigators Symposium) is an initiative created to provide a shared meeting space for early‑career researchers from the three main biomedical research centres in Seville: IBiS, CABIMER, and CABD. Coordinated by Prof. Gabriel Núñez (University of Michigan / Visiting Professor at IBiS) and organised by predoctoral researchers from the three centres, the symposium aims to showcase early‑career research, promote interaction, and foster new scientific collaborations across institutions in the city.

Building on the success of its first edition, the goal of SECRIS 2026 is to further strengthen inter‑institutional connections among early‑career scientists in Seville, encourage interdisciplinary dialogue, and consolidate a sustainable local network that supports collaboration, visibility, and career development for emerging researchers.

Keren and Miguel (Lupiáñez Lab), and Nacho and Rubén (Real Lab), actively participated as members and organisers within the SECRIS committee, contributing to the coordination and development of the symposium and reinforcing the collaborative spirit of the initiative.
